HP is not really that friendly with Ubuntu apparently...

Are you using the LiveCD or Alternate?
Are you reaching the first menu of the CD?

Hello,

I finally loaded Ubuntu, after I changed the graphic card. I am very new to Linux after many years of using Windows. I have load Ubuntu on two Dell computers with no problems, this HP has given me many problems. Thanks for your help.

Great JC. HP is troublesome with Linux, yes. Dell is easier for sure. Enjoy your laptop then!

Can you set the problem status to "solved" please? That's just to keep my list up to date with which problems are not yet solved. Thanks in advance!

Can you help with this problem?
