Wireless net work problem
I work away and while away connect to net by wireless most times having no problems, but sometimes as now I have problems connecting although I have done nothing different from before, windows users connect no problem so network is OK also I can connect via cable (as now) no problem, I had this problem before and posted it with a change of DNS sorting things but that is not helping here now.
I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on a Dell mini 9, my card works ok as I connect no problem at home and hotels etc. any idea's please
Andy

If you use google's DNS then you shouldn't have DNS issues as they are contactable as long as you have a default gateway

Read what I said. RUN IT FROM A WINDOWS MACHINE
ipconfig is a windows command and will show the IP addressing of a windows machine, it is NOT a linux command. Once you learn the gateway IP. You can ping the IP from the Ubuntu system to check you are connected.

Someone I knew was caught steeling a PS2 (I believe, maybe the original PS) from Walmart. His strategy was to just tuck the fucking box under his sweatshirt and hold the top of his shirt against his face mumbling that he had something in his eye. Oddly, this was after a lengthy successful career of larceny throughout high school.

Once the vehicle is immobilized, it becomes the property of the police department in the sense that the driver is not permitted to move it without paying their outstanding fines or, for unusual cases, receiving permission from the commander on duty. So it wouldn't be their property, it would be ours. Regardless, it's theft to take the device with them once they remove it. I suppose that leaves them with either taking the device with them (theft) or destroying it and leaving it behind (destruction of property), so either way they're left with charges of some sort.
I would be curious, however, to see a case where someone manages to pick the lock and leave the device. Can't charge them with theft, can't charge them with destruction of property. Sounds like a win for them, in my book.

The problem is people like me. When browsing games that I know nothing about if I see anything interesting I look at the ratings to see if it is worth my time looking into it. Most of the time if it has bad ratings it is a bad game.
Also on a tangent, the 1 start because of DRM is a valid complaint. I've seen games that were completely unplayable because of bad DRM

I know everyone is pissed at our defense, and rightly so - horrendous errors. But what's worse it that *anyone can defend against us*. I'm convinced that a recess team of fifth graders could shut down our attack. No aggression, no turning at the man. You can see opponent opposition just sag back in and wait for us to pass ourselves out of the game. If we're going to play counterattacking football, it should at least be fast counters.
