שדרוג לגרסה 10.04 עם בעיה

after i did an upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 notebook to the new version
10.04 the upgrade had stop all-most at the end of the upgarde like 17
min' and then i boot the computer and run the recovery mode and the
Ubuntu went on fine ...
after that i upgrade the computer again for software etc' etc'
now... the problem that the desktop is working like a turtle...and
when i work on application like firefox or openoffice it's working
fine the only thing is the desktop and the boot or restart
