Which Ubuntu for 2004 Dell Inspiron 8000?

I will install the drive and give it a try. I am using the most current version of Ubuntu on my desktop but that machine is only 3 years old. I was wondering if i needed to install an older version on my 6 year old laptop. I'll let you know how it works out. Please leave this question open for other respondents. Thankyou Rodrigo!!

I think it will be more than fine with ubuntu. You can download it from:
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
yes, download it, burn it, and star your pc with the CD on. The live CD has an option to format your HD

I got Ubuntu installed. Now to get an internet connection. I'm using a Linksys Wireless-G broadband router (Model WRT54GX2) with 2.4 GHx 802.11g Wireless notebook adapter (Model WPC54GX) . I'll re-install the linksys sofware and see what happens!
