I too purchased a belkin usb g wireless adapter, I too am going thru all
kind of ropes, so far no success, I too am linux ignorant but look at many
forums , ubuntu forums, linux questions.org, others, some say try
ndiswrapper, others say try linux native driver, complicated , keep trying
to find someone to help otherwise, get a linux friendly card. I have spent
more than $40 of my time, am learning a lot about linux . so maybe not time
wasted. sorry not more help
