Mises à jour

Je travaille sur Ubuntu 9.10. Via le gestionnaire de mises à jour,on me propose très souvent des mises à jour valables pour les versions antérieures.
Je pense que je ne suis pas obligé de les appliquer, pouvez vous me confirmer?
Si oui, alors comment ne plus les voir apparaitre sur l'écran car elles reviennent périodiquement?

Bonjour,

Je ne comprends pas bien le problème.

Dans un terminal, pouvez-vous faire les opérations suivantes :

> sudo gedit /etc/lsb-release
(indiquez votre mot de passe lorsque demandé)
faites un copier et collez ici le résultat.

Dans un second temps,
> sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
 (indiquez votre mot de passe lorsque demandé)
faites un copier et collez ici le résultat.

par sécurité, remplacez les commandes mentionnées ci-dessus par

Bonjour,

Merci pour votre réponse, toutefois je vous précise certains éléments :
le gestionnaire de mises à jour me propose des mises à jour de versions
antérieures à la mienne (version 9.10) dois-je le faire ?
SI non, le gestionnaire me le propose à chaque mise en route, comment
faire pour ne plus voir apparaitre ce tableau de mises à jour?

Pourquoi "pas de réponse..." ? Avez-vous rencontré une difficulté à réaliser la seconde opération ? si oui, laquelle ?

J'ai besoin du contenu pour déterminer si les points de mise à jour correspondent à la version en cours.

En fait en répétant la seconde opération : sudo
gedit /etc/apt/sources.list j'ai cette fois-ci obtenu la réponse

l'éditeur de texte est bien accessible dans la rubrique "accessoires" de
"applications" avec l'appellation "gedit"

pourquoi copier dans un éditeur de texte?
Ou dois-je enregistrer le fichier ?

Quel est le rapport avec les instructions effectuées dans le terminal?

Cela ne risque pas de modifier ou altérer le fonctionnement de Ubuntu?

oui c'est le même. seule la méthode pour le lancer diffère.

le but est de remplacer le fichier actuel par un fichier de configuration propre des sources de mises à jour.

si vous l'ouvrez tel qu'indiqué et que vous faites Fichier->Enregistrer, ce dernier se placera au bon endroit

si je reprends les points :
1 = renommage du fichier des sources actuel
2 = ouverture de l'éditeur sur le nouveau fichier des sources
3 = copie des sources dans le nouveau fihcier de configuration
4= sauvegarde du fichier et fermeture de l'éditeur
5= mise à jour et nettoyage

Le but n'est-il pas de corriger un dysfonctionnement ?
