all of the iso files have the same name!!!

Asked by nels.nelsen

ubuntu/ daily / gutsy-desktop-i386.iso

Edubuntu/ daily / gutsy-desktop-i386.iso

Xubuntu/ daily/ gutsy-desktop-i386.iso

It would be really helpfull if some one would not name all of the down loadable iso's with the same name.

How hard would it be to have the name for the iso image for "Xubuntu" be different from "Ubuntu" iso image?

Just stick an X in the name some where.

Simular for the Edubuntu image, please name it different than the other two.

Thanks in advance and keep up the other wise great work.

I agree, so why are they all named the same? It causes confusion to go get
the latest version of Kubuntu
get the latest version of Xubuntu
get the latest version of Ubuntu
and all of the latest ISO are named the exact same name,
even tho they come from different sub-directorys and
have totaly different versions of Ubuntu,
they all have the same name: "ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso"

How hard is it to have the Kubuntu iso named:
Kubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso ?

How hard would it be to have the Xubuntu version named:
xubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso ?

Thanks

Daily iso images are meant for developers or debuggers.

Download from http://releases.ubuntu.com/ or any other mirror is structured.
