lost evolution email

Have you tried to just re-install evolution from Synaptic? It may work

If I do that will I get my contacts and folders back? I can get a new evolution. I want the one with all my data in it.

I have had this happen a long time ago. If I remember correctly, it
seems like Evolution has gotten lost travelling down the highway of
life. When I did the re-install using Synaptic, it seemed to find all
the setting and emails. It is like the info is still in there somewhere
and the re-install just points out where it is. I remember being quite
surprised when it did.

So Roscoe, I agree with you. I think evolution is in there but can't find it's way out.

I tried the reinstall but it didn't work. When I went into synaptic I noticed there were tonnes of Evolution files that aren't installed but I had no ideas which ones to pick so I just tried a reinstall of the ones I already had.

What now?--and thanks for thinking about this!

Roscoe--I got it back! I went ahead with the setup and changed the sever from IMAP to POP and it all came back. Now my password doesn't work but I'm sorting that with telus.
