Request for being appointed to Ubuntu Oromo Translation Project

Asked by Belayneh Melka

Our team has been localizing OpenOffice.org to Oromo language and successfully accomplished the localization for the latest version - OpenOffice.org3.2. Being motivated by our previous localization works and our people's interest, this team now wants to translate Ubuntu to Oromo language. We are well experienced and ready for taking responsibility of running this project.

Thanks in Advance

Hi Belayneh and thanks for volunteering to coordinate the Ubuntu translations into Oromo.

Team ubuntu-l10n-om appointed for Oromo.

Please read the following info, especially as you will need to inform Launchpad about the Oromo plural forms: https://answers.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+faq/611

Here is the Launchpad page for Oromo:
https://translations.edge.launchpad.net/+languages/om

Also please follow the other recommendations from the FAQ, like joining Ubuntu Translators mailing list and defining translation guidelines for Oromo.

Kindest regards,
Adi
