Feedback on the Dell XPS 13 9343 - Dino

Asked by Davide Chiesa

I have a DELL XPS13 9343 which came with Ubuntu 14.04 preloaded.

I accidentally cancelled the OS and also the recovery partition, but I would like to restore the original version of Ubuntu 14.04 preloaded by the manufacturer.

I already contacted the DELL support service but it seems they are not able to find an image of this version.

Could you please suggest me what should I do or where I can download the .iso image of this special release of Ubuntu?

Thank you very much

Hi,

Please refer to this https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-certification/+faq/1523

In short:
Where can I find a Pre-install/Manufacturer image -
Please contact the computer manufacturer for access to that specific Ubuntu operating system version.

Dell is the owner.
Canonical does not have the permission to distribute the image directly to end users.
This is a legal issue.

We are sorry about that very much.
