Is there a way to show Time Spent daily instead of cumulatively?

Asked by Judy

On the main screen where we have Tasks and the columns we want to see, is there a way to show the amount of time we spent on each task for that specific day instead of cumulatively over the days and weeks, etc.? Is there a way to see how much time we spent in total over the day on our various tasks?

Really enjoying Task Coach!

Thanks,

Judy

Not a perfect solution, but choose View > New Viewer > Effort in the menus, adjust the viewer as you like, make it a tab or a pane by dragging it into place… you can then choose "Effort per day" in how that is set up. You can also choose various columns in any viewer and adjust things in various ways.

Sorry it isn't more straight-forward, but play with that and you should get something close to what you want.

Thanks, Aaron. I was able to find the effort per day with the totals and that's exactly what I wanted! You mentioned making it a tab or a pane - I tried dragging the effort viewer I set up to the regular columns but that doesn't seem to be right.

Sincerely,

Judy

When you make a new viewer, it starts as floating, when you drag it around, you should see little icons indicating different places it can go (as a tab or a pane in different areas of the window). You can drop it by letting go when your cursor is over a particular area. It should highlight appropriately. It's a visual thing hard to describe here in text.
