Gets hung up at splash screen

Asked by Lee Heuvel

When I startup Task Coach, it gets to the splash screen and hangs. I tried uninstalling version 1.0.7 and installing older versions of TC, but that did not solve the problem. I can kill the program using Task Manager using the Processes Tab. It does not show up on the Applications tab. This started about 2 days ago. Can't ID any changes made to my PC around that time. Any thoughts on what to check? I really would like TC to work again, its the best To Do manager out there.

Very strange. Seems like the app hangs before creating the main window. What version of Windows are you using ?

Thanks for the help. I'm running XP with the last security update run on
7/26. I think the problem occurred about a week after that.

What happens when you remove your TaskCoach.ini file (better rename it and send it to us if this helps) and restart?

That worked!!!!!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Here is the TaskCoach.ini that I renamed. I don't see a new one, but who
cares, Task Coach works.
