Can Stellarium work with Matrox Triplehead2go 3-screens: it will only display on 2 screens?

Asked by Jeff Mansfield

I run Matrox Triplehead2go digital edition over 3 screens, but Stellarium is only displaying on 2 of them. Usually this is fixed by changing the resolution of TH2Go to the setting required by the application. Any thoughts on what might be the correct setting please? Thanks.

You can set Stellarium's startup window size in its configuration file ("screen_h" and "screen_w" in the "[video]" section). I have no idea whether this will help. Full-screen mode is supposed to be, well, full-screen - it's the same as with 3D games.

Thanks for reply but still no luck: it still only uses two of the three screens. There may be a command to tell the program to use 3 screens. In my flight simulator config it's
 Use3Renders = 1

but I don't know if that's a generic command or specific to the sim. Will try it anyway. Pls let me know if you come up with anything else. Its a great program, lots of people in my astro group use it.

Problem solved.
The config file in question will be in :C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Stellarium\.

Change the width and height to match your resolution settings in Matrox Triplehead2go - in my case 1024x768[3x1], equivalent to 3072x768 - and set fullscreen to false, forcing the program into windowed mode.
The window can be resized to stretch over all three screens.
