Location data, lat long does not match my location

Asked by Michael Griffin

Whenever i use stellarium, it reverts to Paris location with a set altitude, in this case 38m. when i input my location i.e. Felixstowe, united kingdom the lat/long does not alter. Spent ages changing lat/long with mouse on up/down arrows, but this info reverts to Paris presumably next time i use it. Anyone out there who can help please? Thanks in advance, Mike Griffin

The procedure is:

- Type Felixstowe in the field adjacent to the search lens, not in the field Name/city
- You will see Felixstowe, United Kingdom
- Click on it
- Check "Use as default" box
- It will be now your default location whenever you star stellarium

Note: because Felixstowe is already in the loctation base, you do not need to input lat/lon.
