Desire to create 3D content analgyf glasses

Asked by Philip Gay

I am interested in using your software in Final Cut Pro with 3D plug ins so that users can better perceive distances using anaglyph glasses. This project would evolve into an online interdisciplinary resource for middle and high school students that would integrate both science and literacy to gain a better understanding of the constellations, their position in the sky over the calendar year, and make connections to how various cultures interpreted their mythology.

Would it be ok to work with the graphics in your program?

A better place for asking your question is Stellarium public developers' mailing list:
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/stellarium-pubdevel

When you write to it, please make more clear what exactly you want to do with Stellarium. Final Cut Pro appears to be some kind of video editing application?

Will do! thanks for your response. Yes, FCP is a pro video editing
program by Apple that can use 3D to enhance the depth perception of
stars and the constellation figures. -Philip

Thank you for your initial agreement. Proper credit would be
provided. Once the project is in a beta form, we can review the exact
wording of the credit and also include a disclaimer about ebay, if
that is helpful. I suspect this will be a long process but it's good
to know that there is such a dynamic resource available to help
illustrate these concepts. I will keep the forum advised of
progress. In the event that this initiative is able to attract grant
funding, some kind of honorarium or compensation will be provided to
stellarium.org. I look forward to that day! Philip
