Reading excel file as input in sikuli

Hi all,
I am new to this software, so I am kinda struck at this point..
The problem is , I have a excel file where i have some 40 - 50 rows but just only column(all are kinda queries). I have to use them separately, copy each query and paste in another application and fetch the result..
Is it possible to use notepad instead of excel to store the input queries?? if so can you please explain me both the cases!!!
Can anyone please help me in this problem ,
