[1.0.1] Setup: Access is denied for jawt.dll

Asked by william

****** workaround
take care, that the Sikuli setup folder is fully accessible and has no access restrictions

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Problems running on windows command line.
have installed java version 6u45 32bit
The script runs but there is a problem

sikuli cant identify buttons, and the pointer doesnt move. Then it quits stating the image wasnt found

Using the option -d 3, I find one error

[error] ResourceLoaderBasic: copyResource Not possible: C:\sikuli\libs\jawt.dll
(Access is denied)

When I run the instruction
selectRegion("select a Region on Screen(0)")
The screen is black. I guess it cant find the buttons because it cant see anything.

Is there a solution to this "Access is denied" problem?

I'm using Windows 7 professional
java version 6u45

Thanks

Hi,
After running setup for the 10th time this week, the command line seems to be working.
I've no idea why "Access is denied" before nor why it is no longer denied.
The only difference I'm currently aware of is that when I redid the setup as requested below, the sikuli folder had full control enabled for all users.

Regards
WiL.

Ok, then my first guess at least was in the right direction:
the sikuli setup folder must have unrestricted write access.

from the setup log you sent me one could see, that the setup did not run to the end (the final success message was missing).

I will make the setup more robust in this area and give more information on these special situation (I am trying to copy the file jawt.dll from the java installation folder to the Sikuli libs folder, to avoid an additional system path entry - which in your case does not work apparently caused by access restrictions in the Sikuli setup folder, that allow all other operations, but not this dll copy from a special system folder (program folder) to the setup folder)

Thanks for not giving up and finally pointing out.

Can you help with this problem?
