How do i install Gscrot if i am not using a .deb based distribution?

If you are not using a .deb based distribution you can download the tarball of gscrot:

1) download tar.gz archive at the Gscrot Team PPA https://launchpad.net/~gscrot/+archive

2) extract the downloaded archive to a directory at your choice

3) check debian/control for dependencies and install them if needed

4) move to directory bin and execute ./gscrot.pl
