Tags questions

Asked by Ed MANEVAL-SHAFFER

I've just started using RNB today and I'm liking it so far. However, I am finding the help file pretty lacking. Is there a better source that shows available tags and their syntax?

It seems like the tags work inconsistently. I can use the %%date(%A, %x) to get the date variable, and if I highlight it and use the Format button, I can bold it, but if I edit anything in the same line, it'll remove the bold, even though the tags are still there.

For example, a previous post says to use the ?200 tag on an image to set the width to 200 pixels, but does not provide the syntax.

Another post says to edit the config file to change the ShowTagsPane=0 to ShowTagsPane=1 to enable the tags pane. I've tried this a couple times, but the changes to the config will not save.

There are no predefined tags. You'll have to add your own.

That might be a minor bug. Does the preview work as expected even if the
highlighting in edit mode is wrong?

You can check a box when inserting an image to get the ?200 markup.

You'll have to make the change to the config file while RedNotebook is
closed.
