Red Notebook not responding

Asked by Nathan Kimpe

I have around 7 days of entries in Red Notebook and when I went to type in my entry for today, Red Notebook locked up and became unresponsive. After I forcefully closed the program, and restarted it, it immediately without even doing anything locked up and became unresponsive. I have restarted my computer but to not avail

My computer runs Windows 7.

Sorry, the file looks completely normal. Nothing much I can do for you.

I had the same problem with Win7. I reverted to RedNotebook version 1.5.0 and it runs correctly, is stable and is without delays (very fast searching). I have used both the standard app install and the portableapps version - both work ok. The text files of the diary are unaffected by changing the version back to 1.5.0 and later (once the problem is fixed) back to the current version.

If someone could find the first version for which this problem occurs, we could probably pinpoint the error reason easier. This however sounds like tedious work.

Totally unrelated Jendrik but when I go to log in to launchpad to assist
and it re-directs me to the ubuntu one login?

Not sure why that is happening?

AS for the portable version the only changes on the PortableApps versioon
is the inclusion of a font file so it does not have to read and populate
the fonts on machine. So I can only suggest you try the Latest relase on
