Input Method Question

Asked by Jenn Fisher

I am using OS X 10.8.2. I am new to OS X.

I installed rednotebook from Macports. It works well except I can not input Chinese.

I right clicked the text input box and chose "Input Methods" and then chose "System (Simple)". But it did not work.

I have added Chinese in my "Language & Text" as an input source.

I used to use rednotebook on Ubuntu and never had this problem.

Please advise. Thank you in advance.

JF

p.s. If I copy & paste Chinese characters from somewhere else, there is no problem viewing them.

Maybe you can input the characters as Unicode chars:

Thank you for the quick answer! Does this mean I have to use the u + Ctrl + Shift for every character I type...?
