Making Quickly Templates

Asked by augdawg09

I am making a Ruby Quickly template. I have put the folder containing the raw project my /home/~/quickly-templates directory. When I do "$ quickly create ruby-project firstruby" it tells me that the template does not exist. When it returns an error, it says that the template does not exist. Then, it gives me a list of templates that I can use and mine is one of them. Could this be that something is messed up with my template commands?

Thanks for using Quickly.

I think one of the solution is that you didn't create a "create" command for your template. You can see all detected commands by "$ quickly commands" with the name of the template and the name of the commands that are available. Also, check your commandsconfig file.

My server is currently down and so, I can't show you the full tutorial before a month. However, you can have a look at existing commandsconfig file to see what's neeed (it's commented) for the other templates, like /usr/share/quickly/templates/ubuntu-application/commandsconfig and /usr/share/quickly/templates/ubuntu-cli/commandsconfig
