qBittorrent

want to revert back to qbittorrent v 1.2.0

Hi chris,
I find your qbittorrent was much faster than v1.3.0 so I want to revert back to it but presently i am unable to do it how to do it. I had downloaded the v 1.2.0 package from getdeb.com ie deb package but after upgrading to v 1.3.0 from your site the speed of the torrents have gone to 10% of the earlier speed. please treat it as a bug or give us solution. Certainly that qbittorrent 1.2.0 was beautiful... at least for me.

Also please add seeds detailed info on the gui in the upcoming versions like utorrent in windows displays.

Hi,

please keep in mind that qbittorrent is merely a GUI for libtorrent-rasterbar. The difference between qBittorrent v1.2.0 and v1.3.0 is mostly that it was ported to latest libtorrent-rasterbar: v0.14

I used to experience a speed decrease but it seems to be ok now (I'm using libtorrent-rasterbar v0.14.2).
What distribution are you using exactly (with version)? I may upgrade my ubuntu packages although libtorrent v0.14.2 was not officially released yet.

About peers information in GUI, it is planned and it should be implemented as soon as I get some free time.

I contacted libtorrent author and apparently this could be due to your upload limit. DO you have one? Please try to set it a bit higher.

in libtorrent v0.14, protocol overhead is taken into account by the rate limiter and it wasn't in v0.13. Therefore, you're seeding less and your download speed is lower.

Keep on mind that your download_rate is limited to upload_rate * 20

Please try latest ubuntu packages from http://qbittorrent.org/ (if you are using i386 intrepid or jaunty, otherwise, you will have to compile yourself)

qBittorrent v1.3.1 should have the same rate limiter configuration as qBittorrent v1.2.0.

The info provided is really useful, after upgrading to v 1.3.1 it has started working normally as you said rate limiter was limiting the rate but i can say even with very higher rates it was hardly 45 to 30 kbps was dl speed.
I have upgraded through update manager
