Stories not appearing in reverse chronological order

Asked by Michael McCarthy

Hi,

I am transferring content from my old site.

This includes older stories.

I have been loading stories on to the frontpage.

I have set the channel to display stories in "Reverse Chronological Order".

But although this seemed to be how it was working at the start, now the stories are appearing with them most recent entered (not by assigned date), e.g.: running from top to bottom in this sequence: Feb 5, 9, 10, 9, 5...

Thoughts?

Best,
M

Hi,

Yes, this is a confirmed bug with ProsePoint.

For channels in 'Story listing' mode, stories are displayed in reverse order of data entry, instead of reverse entry of the ProsePoint 'date' field.

It is something we will fix (hopefully soon).

In the meantime, a workaround is to change the date of 'data entry' for each story. To do this, edit your story, and expand the fieldset 'Authoring information'. Then, change the value 'Authored on' to match the value of the ProsePoint 'date' field.

Hi,

Welcome back. Hope you had fun while overseas. This workaround worked.
Thanks.
