Rotating resources

Asked by txapelgorri

Hi there:

I have been playing with the rotation for a while but I don't understand why when I rotate a resource over the Y axis (no mather if it is a video or an image), the image moves to the top bottom of the screen. Also if I try to leave all the fields with zeros at rotation effect, still the video refuses to show up (seems to be at the top bottom too). The only way of leave things as the begining is removing the effect.

Am I doing something wrong?, because I see the demo video and it seems that this feature is working properly.

Are you using a "fixed rotation" or "animated"? Also, please let me know
what number you have entered into each textbox (for the rotate effect).
Thanks!

Hi:

I'm trying both "fixed" and "animated". When I apply the effect, the default value is "1,50" at animated X axis, and when I apply the effect the image, video, etc is suddenly put at the top bottom.

I will try to get a little video showing this behaviour.

I was able to re-create your issue. This is caused by the number formatting
of your locale. For example, "1,5" vs "1.5". I'm localizing the number to
your locale correctly (hence the ","), but for some reason the plug-in (i.e.
rotation effect plug-in) does not like it. I will continue to investigate
this issue.

Please try some other effects, and let me know if you find any other strange
issues with numeric settings and your locale.

Thanks,
-Jonathan
