OpenShot Video Editor

OpenShot needs a discussion forum or a users mailing list

Title says it all. I believe OpenShot is outgrowing Launchpad. Discussion forums / user lists usually have a lot of noise, but they are also a very valuable resource where feature requests can be refined and discussed before actually going to developers and supposed bugs can be dismissed as user errors before being reported.

Furthermore, like it happens with Gimp, for example, Openshot is now very complex with respect to what can be done with it. People will start inventing cool combinations and effects and will need a place to post tutorials.

Finally, an official place where users can show their appreciation and thank the developers would be nice. :)

Hello Tony,

If you read the FAQ you will find some hints as to how to get an OpenShot User Group together.

The #openshot irc channel is already setup. All it needs now is some dedicated users to co-operate with each other to form the user group.

Hello!

I'm aware that there is Forum for Openshot and visited #openshot, but, maybe due to being a bit old-fashioned, still consider that having mailing list (possibly subscribed to Gmane) is much efficient way to discuss about the application insted of visiting Forums.

IRC is OK for quick sessions, but it can be very distracting.

What do you think about creating mailing list for Openshot and subscribing it to Gmane?
