Openshot 1.4.3 does not open blender 2.76

Asked by Omar

omar@omar-System-Product-Name:~$ which blender
/usr/bin/blender
omar@omar-System-Product-Name:~$

Blender, the free open source 3D content creation suite is required for this action (http://www.blender.org).

Please check the preferences in OpenShot and be sure the Blender executable is correct. This setting should be the path of the 'blender' executable on your computer. Also, please be sure that it is pointing to Blender version 2.62 or greater.

Blender Path:
/usr/bin/blender

Error Output:
No frame was found in the output from Blender

Somebody had mentioned that after axe-ing out blender completely and installing inkscape that openshot rendered just fine. Can anyone confirm this, and if so copy over some detailed instructions. Too many people wondering about openshot and blender as being compatible together (for the majority).
Thanks.

I uninstalled openshot in the package manager then installed the latest version from the openshot website.

Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty) and above

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:openshot.developers/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install openshot-qt

I am running:
linuxmint 18 which is equivalent to Ubuntu 16.04
Blender 2.76b

I also installed Inkscape .91 but this was for Openshot 1.4.3. I have not tested titles yet. The animated is not complaingin anymore and are rendering.

Can you help with this problem?
