Levels Editor Not Appearing

Asked by David Lu!!

I'm trying to use OpenShot 1.4.2 (downloaded using the DEB in ubuntu 10.04)

I thought that Color Levels editing had been added in 1.4.0 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/586097)

However, I do not see Color Correction or Levels among the possible effects.

List of effects here: http://pastebin.com/hHYzcbDQ

I can't remember exactly what version of frei0r-effects the levels effect appeared in, but f you have the standard 10.04 'repo' package of frei0r-plugins, then it's probably because that doesn't include it.

Are you sure you are running 1.4.2, as the 'Remove Red', 'Remove Green' & 'Remove Blue' effects were removed, which still seem to be in your list.

Thanks for your quick response Andy. I've really liked everything I've seen
of OpenShot so far, and your reply is encouraging.

I am running 1.4.2, but the list of effects that I attached was from the
documentation, which probably didn't sync correctly.

I have version 1.1.22git20090409+repack-0ubuntu3 of the frei0r-plugins
package installed.

Yes, that is a very old version of frei0r (which Ubuntu are still shipping, even in their latest distro). You can get a more up to date version for this PPA:
