How to get QWERTZ Layout?
My system is english (LANG=en_US.UTF-8).
This is in my xorg.conf:
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "evdev keyboard catchall"
Option "XkbLayout" "de"
Option "XkbVariant" "nodeadkeys"
Driver "evdev"
EndSection
When i start onboard the Layout is QWERTZ (German) and when i press only one key it switches to QWERTY.
When i start it with "LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 onboard" same problem.
If its just a layout thing you may could tell me, where to find german layouts.
But it is the best virtual keyboard i've ever seen. great work! Thank you!
Best regards
Jan

Hi,
Please, set the german layout as the topmost layout in the keyboard layout control panel of Ubuntu. If I remember correctly, it might help solve your problem.
By the way, could you tell us what version of Ubuntu and Onboard you are using?
Cheers
I got archlinux. Arch and onboard are all the newest version. Onboard 0.98

Did you you try to set the X keyboard layout with setxkbmap in ~/.xprofile?
I wonder whether you are not also a victim of:

Can you help with this problem?
