WebSock error [Object Event]

Asked by Don Mize

I have a successfully running cloud with functioning instances, but when I try to open up a VNC console in the OpenStack
Dashboard, it gives the screen with a big 'NO \n VNC' in it, but up by the 'Send CTRLALTDEL' button (which is grayed out)
there is a bright red bar with 'WebSock error [Object Event]' in it, and it is unresponsive.

I tried the fix for the compression issue by disabling tightPNG, but that didn't work.

Any ideas? How do I troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks!

I found the problem. It had to do with my proxy server. If I set the browser for no proxies, then it works!
