particular, and accessing downloads-don't know what
to use, after I click open on a download eg retrieve?
and..then which command to enter..

I will never go back to M$. You don't need much of a brain there..

well try upgrading to the newest version of ubuntu, by entering....

updatemanager

into a terminal, this will take you to the next version in the series, then perform another upgrade, then another, until you reach the latest release of feisty fawn

i have done the 168 updates(since dec'05) successfully. However,for example, I downloaded most recent firefox version//when I click open, it shows default then gnome stones appears! I am only running ubuntu, no partitions needed.
Since the updates, my menu icons[appl-menu-help] icons disappeared. Still stuck in ubuntu Hoary H...Can't access? open? firefox 2.0.0.3.

tried update manager
no answer.
what d'all suggest?
Need to download anti spy/virus programs

Will go to any lenghts[ or widths ] to get current..
