performance for ASUS 701x netbooks for karmic

Asked by Scott Evans

Hi, I'm wondering if there is the option to separate the kernel for the netbook series? I'm not familiar with the process that would be or is involved with that, but I was thinking along the line where there is a separate kernel for the server/jeos/generic. The reason I ask this, because then the kernel could be specifically tweaked for netbooks thus not messing the generic kernel in the process.

I'll be happy to be corrected if there's a specific reason if this can't be a consideration! I'm keen for the development of the UNR to be the best that it can be! I'm eagerly awaiting the alpha1 release to start testing...
