Persistance of interface settings

I have persistancy of certain interface options on my wishlist.

Maybe this is already solved with https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/1190797.
To be able to try it out, how do I "Set current config as default" or set persistancy for objects or options whichever possibility is offered?

Sorry if I use bad terminology, no hablo that modern programming stuff.
