Running Delphes on multiple cpu cores

Asked by Paul

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to run Delphes on multiple cores? I have already tried adding --multicore when launching my process, and Pythia8 uses the whole cpu but it seems that Delphes is only using one core.

If Delphes does not support it, then no. Did you ask Delphes author if they do have a way?

For Pythia8, we are using an hand made method to do it since at the time pythia8 was not able to do it.
We should now remove that method to use what they implement themself .

Cheers,

Olivier
