generating processes with six-body final states is taking a long time

Hello,

I am trying to generate a process to process with 6 body final state from muon collisions. The process is mu+ mu- > vl vl~ b b~ b b~ in the SM. I have set the nevents parameter to be 50k and trying to get the cross-section at energies of 10 TeV and 14 TeV. The process is taking considerably long time to give a result and at the end, it fails to generate 50k events. It hardly gives near about 1000 events and I am not sure if the cross-section value returned for this many events is correct or not. Could you comment about this? Also, could you explain why it takes so much time, particularly as we increase the collision energy, why the time taken to generate the processes is becoming increasingly large (more than a week)?

Hi,
Are you using at least 2.9.x version of the code?
If yes which sde_strategy are you using? Did you try both?

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt response. With version 2.9.16 and sde_stratedy = 2, I am getting the asked number of events generated in a comparatively short time. Previously I was using version 2.7.3.
