How to introduce new particles especially from BSM.

Asked by Debajyoti

Hello.

I am a beginner in Madgraph and trying to simulate a process where a new particle is to be added which is not within the Standard Model. What are the necessary steps into doing that?
Also, how do I edit the related parameters, coupling, width, etc. ?

Any help and information regarding the above would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Debajyoti.

All the information on the format is here:
    Published in:
        Eur.Phys.J.C 83 (2023) 7, 631
    • e-Print:
        2304.09883 [hep-ph]

But most people are just using FeynRules which typically simplifies the creation of a new model

You can provide us a UIFO (version 1 or version2) model.
This format is relatively easy to modify by hand for LO model.
But many tools allows to generate those from the Lagrangian (I would advise to use FeynRules for that).

For NLO model, the usage of Feynrules is kind of mandatory given the complexity of such model.

Cheers,

Olivier
