HH ME for MoMEMta

Asked by Florian Bury

Dear MG experts,

I am having issues producing a ME for HH production that I can export to be used within MoMEMta using the exporter [1]. I found a HH model that is perfect for what I want [2], namely to be able to vary the values of the hhh and tthh couplings to obtain different weights for each parameter.

However, I am a bit lost as to how I can import that module in MG, and then export with the plugin it to be used in MoMEMta, or if at all possible.
I also need to generate the decay of the two Higgs into the decay channel of my analysis, but I guess this will depend on the previous part anyway.

I hope this has not been answered elsewhere, but for lack of finding, any help appreciated :)

Cheers,
Florian

Hi Olivier,

I am mostly interested in the SM [1] for now, but in the future probably tthh [2] as well.

It may be simple but I have very limited madgraph experience ...

Cheers,
Florian

Hi Florian,

the "SM.tar.gz" is actually a full generated process for di-higgs (so an --maybe hacked-- output of MG5aMC) and not a model that you can include within MG5aMC. Actually inside that tarball you will find the original model that they used (bin/internal/ufomodel)

However this model is breaking the UFO convention of being pure python since they provide dedicated fortran routine that the code is using in order to run. So in order to be compatible with momenta, you will need to create the equivalent routine in C++... which in principle should be relatively easy.

Also their model might not be complete so they are no guarantee that you will not need one additional routine that they have not even included within their model. Hopefully, it will not be the case here.

Cheers,

Oliveir

Hi Olivier,

Sorry for the delay, I was pondering your answer and browsing extensively the previous questions about HH here ... then I found the perfect model from my own CMS people, should have asked them before.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your input, as always very educative :)

Cheers,
Florian
