I would like to know how to set parameters such as beam energy,number of event and particle mass through run card and param card.

You can either just edit the file with your favorite text editor
or use the "set' command when using the interactive mode and that the question is
about the edition of the parameter.
(like set nevents 100)

in the interactive mode, you can also open a text editor, if you have not define the environment variable EDITOR
then the default text-editor that is going to be used is vi or vim (if available if not some other might be used)
