lhapdf error
Hi I am trying to download lhapdf6 in madgraph it download but in lhapdf bin directory is not present.
And if i try to use external installed lhapdf mg5 show me a blue massege
Failed to access python version of LHAPDF: If the python interface to LHAPDF is available on your system, try adding its location to the PYTHONPATH environment variable and theLHAPDF library location to LD_LIBRARY_PATH (linux)
i already used export LD_LIBRARY_

Did you compile your version of lhpadf for the python3 executable that is used by MG5amC? (or the version of python that you explicitly ask to run)
If so you should also update the PYTHONPATH such that you can add the correct python library in that path (be carefull with the python version).
Maybe easier is to try to use "install lhapdf6" within MG5aMC.

when i try to install lhapdf6 its installation completed without any error.But in downloaded file their is no folder of bin

inside your HepTools directory you should have a directory lhapdf_py3
inside that directory you should have a file lhapdf6_install.log
can you copy-paste the content of that file?
if that file does not exists, what is the content of that directory?

So you have multiple error message in that log file:
1) First error:
setup.py install --install-

So looks like (part?) of the installation is crashing because one python module is missing.
This seems to be ubuntu specific if I believe the following link.

If you need more help on this issue, maybe you should open a thread on the lhapdf6 tracking system (sorry I'm not an expert on lhapdf installation)

Those seems to be in direct relation with the first error and indicate that some file copy are not working. So my bet would be that fixing the first issue, will fix all the issues. Unfortunatly those cp does not copy the bin directory. But I would bet that fixing the first issue will also fix those files missing.

Hi,
Because the version of MadAnalysis5 which support python3 is not yet released.
Since we do now run python3 by default and do not want to be stuck to use python2
for the time being, we do install the development version of Madanalysis5 which is python3 compatible.
Since we do install an alpha version, this version should not be used with the same confidence as an official version of MadAnalysis5 and therefore we print that message such that you are aware of this fact.
