Some tests failed, run cannot continue.

Asked by zahra abdy

Hello,

I have tried to generate p p > b h NP=1 QCD=4 [QCD] process. I used beyond the standard model with mass-less five flavor scheme. The version of my Madgraph is 2.9.2.

I got this error when I was trying generate events:

Some tests failed, run cannot continue.
Please check that widths of final state particles (e.g. top) have been set to 0 in the param_card.dat.

I was wondering if you could help me.

Hi,

if you are doing five flavor computation, you cannot ask "b" in the final state since this will create issue with NLO computation.
In particular it is likely that some of the real and/or contribution might not be generated since those might required the absence of the b-quark in the final state for some matrix-element.

The test that you refer are a check that all the singularity of the matrix-element are correctly cancelled by the virtual (and other sanity check of that type). One solution is to go to four-flavor or do
generate p p > j h NP=1 QCD=4 [QCD]

Cheers,

Olivier

I tried with four-flavor model. But, I got this error.

I tried second solution.
generate p p > j h NP=1 QCD=4 [QCD]

Hi,
can you please give some detail on the model you are employing, in particular on what kind of new-physics effects are embedded there?
Does the model have an effective ggH vertex?
Then, for the tests in the 4FS (with a massive b): the process you need to generate is

p p > h b b~ NP=1 QCD=4 [QCD]

Let me know

Best,

Marco

Hi,

I am using fermions-higgs coupling model. I want to turn on new physics
couplings in the QCD loop.

Which model exactly? Are you sure that the model is correct and NLO capable?

The model is working correctly at LO for this process. I got results for
this model at NLO two times. I can't get results now. I attached one of the
results with a tag file.

Hi,
we cannot see attachments here in the launchpad questions.
The problem you are encountering with your model is likely due to the fact that you are including both diagrams with the bbh vertex and those with the ggh one, and the two classes of diagrams have different powers of alpha_s.
If you could send us the model, or tell where you got it, we may try to reproduce your error and have a better understanding.
Best,

Marco

Hi,

Could you please give me your email address for sending a model and results.
