About the name of tag_1_pythia8_events.hepmc.gz

This is related to the run_tag that you use.
This should be defined in the run_card.

Now this starts to be more complicated if you run the pythia8 command independently of the generation of the events and that you scan over that as well.
In that case you can use the flag "--tag="
as explained in the "help pythia8" of the code.
