Need to use MadGraph4 - is this still available to download?

Asked by s

hi,

I have been using MadGraph for a very short period of time. I was given some examples, I began using MadGraph5. I relise though that these examples were built using the fortran based MadGraph4. Is this still downloadable? If so from where? (google has thrown nothing - perhaps it is completely deprecated?)

thanks

Hi,

MadGraph5 was released in 2011 and we stopped to devellop MadGraph4 in 2009...
and to support MadGraph4 (for bug report/question/..) in 2013.
So the only reason to want MG4 those days is to reproduce very old result.
Obviously using MG4 is now kind of impossible since the recent compiler will not compile it.

So to answer the question, yes they are still a public place where MG4 is available and indeed google does not have access to it (and that's good).
If you really want I can give you instruction directly to you (I do not want to put such link publically)

 Cheers,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

Thanks for your reply. Sorry for the delay, I had to contact my collaborators to see if they had any objections to switching to MG5. I think we will formally do the simulations in mg5 given its much more recent but would I be able to access the mg4 code you mentioned just so we can compare results?

Thanks
