branching ratio given a model file

Asked by Shin-Shan Eiko Yu

Dear Madgraph5_aMC@NLO authors,

Is it possible to ask madgraph to dump branching ratio of certain decay as a function of particle mass? For example, I already have a model file for a BSM model and am interested in the decay mode A-> chi chi, can I ask madgraph to dump the branching ratio of A->chi chi as a function of A mass or chi mass, without digging in decays.py and without running madgraph separately for many mass points?

Thanks in advance!

Shin-Shan Yu

Not sure what you are asking for to be honest.

I guess that you are looking for the following function:

compute_widths A --path= --output=

where you can speicify the path of the initial benchmark and where to write the result.
However the initial path should NOT contain any "scan:" flag making this method not that much practical.

Cheers,

Olivier
