How to set beam details in case of e^{+}-e^{-} beams?

Asked by Basabendu

Dear MadGraph Team,

I am doing an analysis with e^{+}-e^{-} beams (i.e, ILC environment). Is it possible to set beam type, beam size, bunch population, number of bunches etc in madgraph? I could not find anything specific in the run card.

Hi,

In the default MG5aMC, the only option is to set the beam type to 0 which means NO PDF.

Now it exists a plugin for adding ISR:
https://github.com/qliphy/MGISR
Which adds a new type of the beams type to handle the ISR.

beam size, bunch population, number of bunches

I guess those might be interesting for the beamstrahlung.
We have a development branch which can handle beamstrahlung but this is not public yet.

Cheers,

Olivier

bunch population, number of bunches
