Cross section including a four-body decay

Asked by shibasipu

Hi Olivier,
I want to get the cross section for a process includes a four body decay i.e.
p p > N l+ H , (N > l+ H j j) . I was checking this by setting the width of N to "Auto". But it only calculates partial decay widths up to three body decay. Then is it possible to get Xsection of the above process using MG5 ?

Shiba

Hi,

The auto width stops the computation of the width at the percent level.
If you want to force four body decay to be include in the computation of the width, you can not use the Auto width and have to call the dedicated command.
(All the information are available in the paper: arXiv:1402.1178<http://arXiv.org/abs/arXiv:1402.1178>

Then is it possible to get Xsection of the above process using MG5 ?

Yes that should not be a problem at all.

Cheers,

Olivier
