editing plot_card after launch

Asked by Samuel Homiller

Dear Experts,

I'm attempting to run through basic tutorials with mg5. Most of these indicate that after beginning a run with 'launch', I should have the options to edit each of the different cards. However, the option
'9 / plot : plot_card.dat'
does not appear in the prompt, and entering either '9' or 'plot' returns an error and asks me to select a different option. I know I can manually edit cards externally and load them in, but this seems much less convenient for my purposes now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

Sam

Hi,

The presence of this card (or equivalent card) depend if the associate code has been linked to MG5aMC.
The recomended tools for plotting is now MadAnalysis5 which can be installed and linked by typing “install MadAnalysis”
In the mg5amc prompt.

Note that this tools does not use the plot_card but some other format.
The plot card was used by MadAnalysis4 that you can install by typing
Install MadAnalysis4

Cheers,

Olivier
