Decay processes cannot specify squared orders constraints

Asked by Patricia Rebello Teles

Dear experts, using aQGC model I am trying the process with the syntax below

generate p p > w+ w- j j QED=4 QCD=0 NP^2>0, w+ > l+ vl, w- > j j @1

to emphasize the new physics terms, in fact the WWWW aQGC vertex

nevertheless I have received the msg

MadGraph5Error : Decay processes cannot specify squared orders constraints.

Could you please clarify why it works fine to generate p p > w+ w- j j QED=4 QCD=0 NP^2>0, but it does not work when I request particle's decay?

Thank you in advance.

Regards Patricia

Hi,

Because such syntax is not supported with the syntax related to decay processes.
Since this is an interference term that you pick those are really tricky to support and handle
and we are waiting for someone to handle the case with decay.

Cheers,

Olivier

Dear Olivier,

Is this syntax is supported now?

No still waiting for a volunteer on that.

Dear Olivier

Is this syntax supported now in any of the new version? I was trying to generate p p > w+ w+ j j QED=4 QCD=0 NP^2=1, w+ > l+ vl @1 and I am getting the same error message "MadGraph5Error : Decay processes cannot specify squared orders constraints."
Please let us know.

Thanks
Sandeep

Hi,

We had the money to pay a student doing the implementation, but we failed to find a student interested in such project.
So that money was assigned to another project. So do not expect such syntax to be supported anytime soon (since the scheme that was supporting such kind of development is now cancelled and that EU make clear that they do not want to support short term fellowship anymore).

Now if you know someone interested, we are still open to find a way obviously but we will not be able to offer full salary+... like in the past.

Cheers,

Olivier
