"No file file pythia_events.hep currently available" when generating events

Hi,

The problem seems related to pythia and not to madgraph.
Therefore I’m not sure that I can help you with that one.
The problem is likely that you have unknown type of particle in the initial state and that PY6 is not able to start a shower from that type of particle.
Since PY6 is not supported anymore, the only solution might be to pass to PY8 (outside of the MG5aMC framework).
If this does not work, then you can contact the PY8 author for more details.
