Default dynamical scale choice quivalent to LO run

Asked by Josh McFayden

Hi all,

In https://answers.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo/+faq/2014 the different options for the default dynamical scale are given.
But I'm not sure I understand what happens when one runs a LO cross section calculation after a NLO initial production.
Is the default scale in this case the NLO default?

If yes, is there a way to select the LO default scale whilst running in the NLO production?

Best,

Josh.

Hi Josh,

Yes it is.This is consistent since this LO mode is intended for K-factor computation. So we want that LO mode to behave for all options like in NLO production.

So far no. Implementing this sounds a lot of work and a lot validation.

Cheers,

Olivier
