Changing the MadGraph Output Path

Asked by Mike Nelson

Hi,

When I run MadGraph in my bin directory (./bin/mg5) the outputs are stored in a directory, which is also produced in bin, where the mg5 executable exists. I would like to somehow change the directory where the mg5 output directories are stored, so that the outputs are produced in a different place to the location of the mg5 executable. Is there a way to do this?

Best,

Mike

Dear Mike,

You have two option:

1) go to the directory where you want to output to be
and then run the mg5 executable from that directory

2) precise the path of the directory that you want to create when you do
output

assuming that you want the output created in subdirectory of PATH
option 1 is:
cd PATH
$MG5_PATH/bin/mg5

option 2 is
./bin/mg5
generate p p > t t~
output PATH/MY_DIRECOTRY

Cheers,

Olivier
